Her Story
Education & Credentials
Rooted in Passion — Thaty's journey began in Brazil, fueled by an innate love for early childhood development and an unshakeable belief that the care a child receives in their earliest years shapes the rest of their life. Driven by a desire to deepen her impact, she brought her dedication across borders to Boston, immersion-learning the intricacies of the high-net-worth American estate and domestic service industries from the ground up.
Elevating the Industry — In Boston and beyond, Thaty's hands-on excellence rapidly set a new benchmark for what elite childcare could look like. Her unwavering dedication to families and fierce advocacy for domestic workers culminated in her being honored as the 2022 International Nanny Association (INA) Nanny of the Year. Recognizing that true progress requires structural change, she stepped into vital industry leadership roles, serving on the boards of both the International Nanny Association (INA) and the National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) to champion professional standards and equity.
A Legacy of Inclusivity & Leadership — Today, Thaty has synthesized her diverse expertise — spanning a Master of Education in ESL, a Harvard Certificate in Early Education Leadership, and a business degree in Organizational Dynamics — into a multifaceted brand hub.
Beyond: The Pacific Northwest & Raising Sisu — Seeking a more intentional lifestyle away from the frantic pace of the city, Thaty made a bold move across the country from Boston to the serene landscape of the Olympic Peninsula in the Pacific Northwest. Surrounded by nature, she found the space to be even more thoughtful, grounded, and deliberate in her work. It was here that she founded Raising Sisu, bringing all of her accumulated wisdom, academic foundations, and deep industry experience together into one harmonious vision.
As a sought-after speaker, professional consultant, and educator, she has built a groundbreaking, NCSA-approved Newborn Care Specialist training program that actively deconstructs language barriers for highly qualified, non-native English speakers. From supporting high-profile families as a premier full-spectrum doula to launching international training initiatives, Thaty's legacy is one of boundless inclusivity, systemic industry evolution, and an enduring commitment to empowering 'the entire village.'

Every family carries its own cultural blueprint. Thaty adapts her approach to honor each family's values, traditions, and communication style — never imposing a one-size-fits-all model.
As a Brazilian immigrant herself, Thaty has a deep, personal understanding of the challenges multilingual and multicultural families navigate — and the extraordinary strengths they bring.
Her programs and consulting work reach families and caregivers across the US, Brazil, and beyond — because great care is a universal language, and Thaty speaks it fluently.
Core Beliefs
Raising Sisu is built on the integration of both nature and nurture from the very start. Not one or the other — both, working together.
Thaty's work focuses not just on the first 3 months, but on the first 3 years of life — where the foundations of a child's full potential are truly laid.
Families thrive when parents and caregivers are equipped, supported, and working from the same playbook. Thaty builds that bridge.
Every child deserves world-class care. Every caregiver deserves world-class training. Thaty holds both to the same high bar.
